"The curious paradox is that when I accept myself
just as I am, then I can change."

Hi, I'm Ethan!
Many of us go through life doing our best to appear that we have it together and that we’re doing what we “should” do, but inside we may be hiding painful feelings, self-doubt, anxiety, indecision, overwhelm, and stress. As children we may not have really been accepted or understood by our parents or caretakers, or even by our intimate partners as adults, all of which makes it hard for us to have confidence and trust in ourselves to face the challenges of the world.

To move forward, we must heal from our past, connect to ourselves in the present, and nurture our strengths to build confidence to know that we can handle whatever challenges the future may bring. I believe that we heal in relationships, and the therapeutic relationship is a unique opportunity for you to heal from suffering and find self-acceptance and self-compassion.

I am a licensed therapist (LMFT #113751) in Los Angeles, CA and provide individual psychotherapy to adults (18 and over), specializing in working with musicians and artists and sensitive people, with issues such as anxiety, self-doubt or “impostor syndrome,” trauma, stress, and depression. I am fully trained in EMDR therapy, and also provide practical coping tools to help manage life’s daily challenges.
